Bluetooth UC & Office Headsets
Bluetooth is a standard for the short-range wireless interconnection of mobile phones, computers, and other electronic devices. It is widely used in many personal devices such as mobile phones, headsets, speakers, TVs, PCs, laptops & even cars.
Bluetooth technology has a 128-bit encryption which makes it nearly impossible for anyone to listen in to your call. It uses UHF radio waves in the ISM bands, from 2.402 GHz to 2.48 GHz, and building personal area networks (PANs).
Our Bluetooth headsets allow you to work from anywhere without being tied down. Bluetooth headsets support pairing to up to 8 devices, & select models support multi-point technology allowing for simultaneous connectivity to 2 devices. This in turn allows for multi-device connectivity by reducing the time to switch between different devices.
Bluetooth headsets often include additional technologies to improve sound quality, additional features, & add different types of noise & echo reduction allowing users to work in noisy environments such as open office spaces, traffic jams, & airports. An example of such technologies are:
- Multi-point Connectivity for simultaneous connectivity to 2 devices.
- Passive Noise-canceling using Multiple Microphones to reduce background noise.
- Feedback or Hybrid Active-Noise Cancellation (ANC) to allow users to tune out the noise around them.
- Smart Sensors to answer calls by simply putting on the headset, mute by taking the headset off and pause/resume music (Poly Patent).
- Acoustic Fence technology to create a sound barrier around the device (Poly Patent).
- Qi Wireless Charging to wireless power transfer using inductive charging.
Bluetooth range depends on which class is used & must be supported by both devices in a connection:
- Class 1 has a range of about 100 meters (330 feet).
- Class 2 is about 10 meters (33 feet).
- Class 3 is only 1 meter (3 feet).
